Winnie Foster (ALEXIS BLEDEL) is a 15 year old girl who feels smothered by her upper class and very wealthy parents, Robert (VICTOR GARBER) and Augusta (AMY IRVING). After learning she is being sent to a strict, all girls boarding school, she runs into the thick heavily wooded lands just across from her home. And ends up getting lost.
In the woods she meets, and falls in love with Jesse Tuck (JONATHAN JACKSON) a boy full of life and adventure who is unlike anyone else she has ever met. The Tucks, a kind generous family, have a secret - there is a spring that they all drank from, unknowing, that it would make them live forever.
Winnie must choose to live life as she knows it, or drink from the spring.
I really loved this movie. It's very different from a lot of movies that seem kinda like this. And it has a surprise ending which is great because I don't like predictable movies. The movie was filmed in Maryland, it was very pretty to watch. I think this is a movie that the whole family can enjoy and watch together.
