Based on an inspiring true story, Faith Like Potatoes chronicles the true story of Angus Buchan, a farmer who moves his family to South Africa and then follows a series of insurmountable losses.
A Zambian farmer, Buchan leaves his farm in the midst of political unrest and racially charged land reclaims and travels south with his family to start a better life in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. FAced with many hardships and personal trials, Angus's life quickly becomes consumed by anger, destruction, and fear.
What happens next is truly inspiring, as the farmer turns his life, family, and farm over to God and follows His direction for his life. See the movie, and watch how God transforms this angry man and gives him faith. God also uses him to inspire thousands to live their lives with faith in the Lord and to put their faith into action. Angus and his wife Jill still operate their farm KwaZuLu Natal, run a children's home for abandoned and orphaned children, and help oversee a public school nearby.
Based on the life Angus Buchan, his book was adapted for the big screen by award-winning actor and director, Regardt van den Bergh, and weaves together the moving journey of a man who, like his potatoes, grows his faith, unseen until the harvest.

This inspirational movie is not only heartwarming, but action packed and has surprising moments of humor. Kirk Cameron really gives a very believable performance as a fire captain who is a hero in his community, but facing divorce at home.
